The family-run Madaula S.A. enjoyed local fame for its generations-old metal forging skills. At that time, the landing gear components Madaula supplied to an aircraft manufacturer performed excellently in individual samples, but uncontrollable quality fluctuations emerged in mass production. The root cause lay not in the craftsmanship itself, but in the lack of standardized processes and quality control systems. Each craftsman operated based on their own experience, leading to subtle yet critical differences between batches.

When Madaula’s third-generation heir sought reform, HMS brought a systematic solution. We worked alongside Madaula’s craftsmen for months—not to change their exquisite skills, but to help establish a method to turn individual experience into team wealth. By introducing systematic process recording, key parameter monitoring, and standardized operating procedures, we transformed the "tacit knowledge" once confined to master craftsmen’s minds into inheritable, replicable explicit knowledge.

The most important outcome of this cooperation was the formation of a unique "Craftsmanship Standardization System." It not only preserved the essence of Madaula’s traditional craftsmanship but also endowed it with the reliability and consistency required for large-scale production. When the first batch of components fully meeting aviation standards was delivered, the customer was surprised to find that these products retained the unique quality of hand forging while achieving industrial-grade consistent precision.
